NASA has started processing awards for SEWP VI, the sixth generation of its Solutions for Enterprise-wide Procurement vehicle and one of the largest IT acquisition programs in the federal government.
Here is what we know:
What it covers. SEWP VI gives agencies streamlined access to hardware, software, cloud services, cybersecurity tools, engineering and consulting services, and data-intensive mission support. Every award is an IDIQ contract that can issue firm-fixed-price, labor-hour, time-and-materials, and other task orders. NASANASA
The numbers. NASA disclosed more than 2,100 awardees across three categories: FedScoop
- Category A (IT Solutions): 364 awards LemonWire
- Category B (Enterprise-wide IT Service Solutions): 692 awards LemonWire
- Category C (IT Mission-Based Services): 1,059 awards LemonWire
One thing to note: because contractors can win in more than one category, these figures are category-specific awards, not the count of unique companies. LemonWire
The terms. The contracts run a 10-year ordering period from Nov. 1, 2026 through Oct. 31, 2036, with each award carrying a maximum value reported at up to $20 billion. GovCon Wire
How we got here. This was a long road. The award lands about two years after NASA issued the RFP, after delays tied to high proposal volume and at least 16 GAO protests, the last of which was resolved earlier this month. NASA also extended SEWP V through September to bridge the transition. FedScoopFedScoop

A quick note we are proud of: iQuasar supported over 31 clients on their SEWP VI submissions, and 30 of them came away with awards.
