Why are vendors protesting SEWP VI

NASA’s $60B SEWP VI IT vehicle has drawn 10 GAO protests after several vendors were removed during phase one of evaluations. The latest filings from Insight Public Sector and Strategic Communications raise the total to 10 challengers (joining Blazar, Blue Obsidian, Bridges, E-Logic, METGreen, Professional Information Systems, Sudofy, and Z‑SofTech).

Protest grounds focus on being eliminated from consideration; GAO may consolidate similar challenges. Outcomes could delay SEWP VI awards (currently targeted for April) and force another extension of SEWP V. Separately, GSA has discussed taking over the SEWP program under a presidential consolidation directive, adding program-level uncertainty.
