GSA introduces the Hide and Unhide Catalog Feature in FCP - GSA MAS Schedule

Starting June 2, 2026, the Federal Acquisition Service Catalog Platform (FCP) will introduce a new “Catalog Visibility Status” feature for MAS catalogs. This enhancement is designed to provide contractors with greater transparency regarding the visibility status of their catalogs on GSA Advantage, eLibrary, and eBuy.

Previously, vendors had to manually verify whether their catalog was hidden by checking GSA Advantage or eLibrary. With this update, vendors will now be able to directly view the visibility status from the Catalog Overview page in FCP, including the reason if a catalog has been hidden.

What Does “Hidden” Mean?

When a catalog is marked as hidden:

  • The catalog will not appear on GSA Advantage or eLibrary

  • Contractors will not be able to bid on opportunities in eBuy

How the Feature Works

FCP users will now see a clear visibility status directly from the Catalog Overview page. If a catalog is hidden:

  • A red banner will appear indicating the hidden status

  • Users can select the “Catalog Visibility” link under MAS Contract Information

  • Additional details will explain what actions are required to restore visibility

At launch, the reason for hiding will initially appear as “Other” along with additional descriptive information and references to the original hide request. GSA plans to introduce a more detailed list of standardized hide reasons later in the summer.

Important Notes

  • This enhancement currently applies only to MAS catalogs without FCP-enabled BPAs

  • Support for MAS catalogs with BPAs will be added in a future release

  • This update does not change a catalog’s current visibility status; it only improves transparency within FCP

What Should Vendors Do?

If a catalog is hidden, vendors should work directly with their Contract Specialist (CS) or Contracting Officer (CO) to address the identified issues and restore catalog visibility.

Even while a catalog is hidden, vendors will still have access to FCP actions so they can take corrective measures and submit required updates.

Do let us know if you have any questions. We would be more than happy to answer.

This is a fantastic update from GSA. Moving away from manual verification on GSA Advantage and eLibrary to having direct visibility within the FCP is going to save contractors a lot of guesswork. Thanks for sharing this timely update, @Atif.Altaf

This is a massive quality-of-life update for MAS contractors. Navigating the opacity of why a catalog was suddenly missing or restricted on GSA Advantage/eBuy used to be a major headache and a guessing game. Having that immediate visual feedback (the red banner) and the direct reasoning right inside the FCP Catalog Overview is going to streamline compliance and save a ton of administrative time.

It’s also reassuring to know that we can still access FCP actions to push corrective updates even while hidden, which keeps the momentum moving forward rather than freezing operations entirely.

Looking forward to seeing those standardized “hide reasons” roll out later this summer to make troubleshooting even sharper. Thanks for keeping us ahead of the curve on this! @Atif.Altaf

Great update from GSA regarding FCP transparency. Eliminating the manual check on GSA Advantage/eLibrary to see if a catalog is hidden saves time, and having immediate insight into compliance issues directly impacts bidding readiness on eBuy. A solid step toward proactive contract management.
