Polaris Small Business Protests Continue Amid GSA Updates

The legal battle over GSA’s Polaris small business contract is far from over. Six companies: Beat-LDI JV, Gencetek, OM Partners JV2 LLC, Assyst Inc., DevTech Systems, and Rigil Corp are challenging their evaluation scores at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. They allege improper point deductions in self-scoring, which cost them spots among the top 100 awardees.

After delays caused by the government shutdown, GSA is updating the administrative record, with a new schedule expected by Dec. 1. While awards for HUBZone and SDVOSB pools have been made, the general small business pool remains under protest, and women-owned awards are still pending.

Polaris is a major 10-year vehicle for emerging tech and IT solutions, including AI, automation, and edge computing. This case underscores the complexity and high stakes of federal contracting.
