AI agents are already acting autonomously inside enterprises

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) just made it clear: security must lead adoption, not follow it.

With its new AI Agent Standards Initiative, NIST is pushing the industry to define identity, authorization, and accountability for agents before they scale unchecked. That’s the real bottleneck, not capability, but trust.

The future of agentic AI won’t be won by who deploys fastest.
It’ll be won by who can answer: Which agent acted, on whose behalf, and under what controls?
